I decided to sponsor a child through KidsCare after seeing first hand the work that they do in Cambodia. I went to Siem Reap and volunteered at the Kindergarten that is run by KidsCare. After meeting Roger and Sun, I had complete trust that all money was going straight to the children. Everything was transparent and easy to see,, through receipts where your money goes. They do an incredible job, and are truly helping those in most need. They have local knowledge as they are right there living in the same community.

Han Zu Sponsor (4-7 students of St Finbarr's Parish School):
We
are students from years 4, 5, 6 and 7 and live in a rural, remote town
called Quilpie in Queensland Australia. Our teacher volunteered at the
Kindergarten where our sponsor child goes and wanted to help. She has
so little, and we have so much. We had to do something. We have been
raising money through selling icy cups, milkshakes and getting support
from people in our town. We might be young, but we can still help so
much!

As a sponsor of Kidscare I love the fact that our small donation goes
straight to the Village, we can have actual contact with our sponsor
child and Sun and
Roger who work hard and actually send photos daily
to show us what is happening in the Village. I like that if we send a
small parcel to 'our' child, we actually get a photo of the child
receiving it, with a big big smile on his/her face and of course I love the fact that we have endless contact with Tenille..who brings it all together! x

I Left Cambodia in 1980 after Pol Pot Regime. I'm thinking that I will never ever return back ... But you can't stop GOD's will.
I return to Cambodia for the first time (November2004) after 24 years... I did not see much of things in Cambodia that time, because very worried, scared to be stuck in Cambodia like Pol Pot again.
Three
years later in 2007, I went there with my son (just one week). That
time is only one week but I saw a lot of things in Cambodia, rich, poor,
but the country will never ever back to Pol Pot (No more worried).
Again
in 2008 I travel back to Cambodia, this time I saw the hard
living of the poor peoples that make me feel pity on them... But I have
no idea how to help them...
A few years later I saw The Kidscare
Cambodia by chance in Facebook that I realise that I can support the
kids through Sothy and Roger (KidsCare Cambodia)... So I decided to
sponsor some of the kids. Also its good for me too, that the sponsor
cost is very small amount that I can afford.
Especially I'm thought
about the people whose sponsor the kids, most of them are different
nationality (not Cambodian). So as I'm an original Cambodian why I'm not
help some of my peoples?
